Wimbledon Championships (Wimbledon for short) is the oldest and most prestigious of the four grand slam tennis events in the world. It is also the only event using the lawn court. It was founded by the all England Club and the British Lawn Tennis Association in 1877. It is usually held regularly from the last week of June to the beginning of July every year.
