Eletrobr á s is the state-owned power company of Brazil. The federal government holds 54.46% of the shares. It is owned by President genolio Vargas (get ú Lio Vargas) was proposed to be established in 1954. It has six subsidiaries: sisef power, Brazil Fornas power, Brazil Ilet Sule power, Brazil Ilet Notte power, Brazil cgtee power and Brazil nuclear power company. It ranks 1060 among Forbes's 2014 global top 2000 enterprises.
