Wikipedia

Wikipedia is a free, free and open encyclopedia collaboration program with participants from all over the world. This site uses wikis, which means that anyone can edit any article and item in Wikipedia. Wikipedia is run by the non-profit organization Wikimedia Foundation. Wikipedia began on January 15, 2001. Its founders are Jimmy Wales, Larry Sanger, and several enthusiastic English participants. About three years later, in March 2004, about 6000 active participants had written 600000 entries in 50 languages. All texts, most images and other content in Wikipedia are released under the GNU Free Document license to ensure the freedom and openness of the content. All articles written here will follow the copyleft protocol, and all content can be freely distributed and copied.
